They Fear Us Because We Are Not Afraid

Check out the new video from Nicaragua illustrating the protest organized by the Autonomous Women's Movement (MAM) against the Daniel Ortega regime. MAM is protesting the authoritarian measures taken by the Ortega regime to eliminate dissent, including taking away the legal status of a key opposition party (prompting a hunger strike by legendary revolutionary leader, Dora Maria Tellez , which was supported by many including the Petateras), the smear campaign against leading feminists and the crackdown on reproductive rights activists. The song in this video powerfully repeats the phrase: "They fear us because we are not afraid."
