Natalia manages and represents JASS' key global strategic partnership, Count Me In! Consortium, and co-leads JASS’ cross-regional power and protection strategic priority. She coordinates and supports related advocacy opportunities with the US Congress, the United Nations, and select country embassies, and plays a key role in developing and publishing key analysis and knowledge on protection, security, and human rights defenders. 

Natalia has been with JASS since 2010, previously serving as a liaison between JASS Mesoamerica and JASS Global, capturing key experiences and insights to integrate into crossregional perspectives and strategies as well as supporting advocacy efforts directed at the Inter-American Human Rights Commission and other entities. She led JASS Mesoamerica’s fundraising and donor relations from 2015-2018 and co-coordinated a global thematic agenda on Power and Protection of Women Activists.

Prior to JASS, Natalia worked at Human Rights Watch with the US and Americas Programs in research, media, and program support, and volunteered at the Joel Nafuma Refugee Center, the largest refugee day-center in Rome. Natalia graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco, with a BA in International Studies and Politics. In her down time, she loves discovering new foods, puzzles, reading, travels whenever possible, and never stops dancing.
