Women in Malawi are organizing at the national level to demand quality ART treatment and literacy as part of a sustained movement building process. JASS works with a range of different women’s networks and community organizers to equip women with political skills to mobilize within their communities and to use ‘power within’ as individuals and collectives to build a nationwide campaign around information and access to ART.
JASS creates spaces for young women to build political, analytical and decision making skills to counter conservative agendas and the erosion of sexual and reproductive health rights.
JASS links young women, sex workers, LBTI rights activists and women organizing against violence to build collective strategies for wellbeing, safety and security ensuring their voice and visibility.
